Tech V 5.0 which is yet to arrive in full form will fundamentally alter the way business was done and those who didn't invest in V 4.0 and upgraded their management skills (particularly Indian family run businesses) WILL PERISH. upgrading directly to V 5.0 is prohibitively expensive and is impossible.
SO WHAT IS THE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 4.0 & 5.0?
4.0 focused on efficiency and automation, 5.0 focuses on INTELLIGENCE AMPLIFICATION
4.0 didn't address managerial, human and environmental issues, it threatened unemployment. 5.0 addresses all the three issues.
4.0 stops at operational level, doesn't address STRATEGY and and challenges in a VUCA setting like COVID. 5.0 addresses that. It assumes strategy STARTS WITH NO VISION and connects the DOTS 1 AT A TIME.
4.0 assumes presence of a prior knowledge base, culture, systems and processes at a human level - 5.0 ALLOWS COMPANIES TO START FRESH with Intelligence amplifying mechanisms, COUNTER-INTUTIVE THINKING and tacit human knowledge
So 4.0 doesn't address strategic and future business challenges, 5.0 enables it. 5.0 will fundamentally alter management wisdom
